The Russian-German scientific conference was held at Kuban State University as part of the Science Week

The youth Russian-German scientific and practical conference "Post-COVID reboot of business and society: the experience of sustainable development of Russia, Germany and the EU" was held on May 3 in a remote format on the Microsoft Teams platform. This annual scientific event, which has been held by Kuban State University and the Berlin University of Applied Technical and Economic Sciences (HTW, Berlin) since 2002, provides an opportunity for students from Russia and Germany to discuss the most important problems and challenges of the development of modern economics, business and law. The participants of the online event were welcomed by the scientific supervisors of the project Igor V. Shevchenko, Doctor of Economics, Professor, Dean of the Faculty of Economics of Kuban State University, and Professor Tilo Wendler, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Internationalization of HTW. Students of the Faculty of Economics of Kuban State University presented the results of their research on the following topics: Yulia Nishchuk, Polina Konograi – "The Coronavirus crisis and culture: the transformation of galleries, exhibitions and museums"; Daria Konyusheva, Valeria Sinitsina – "How tourism has changed in Russia, Germany, the EU after the COVID-19 pandemic"; Ekaterina Korotchenko, Agayan Dariko, Kim Okarova – "Rebooting the work of public catering enterprises in Russia, Germany and the EU in the post-crisis period"; Danil Ninivolin, Zekoh Bella – "State support for small and medium-sized businesses in Russia and Germany against the background of the COVID-19 epidemic"; Pavel Gupalo, Yan Slavov – "The crisis of German enterprises in Russia during the pandemic".

The scientific event was also attended by Dr. Kirill Litvinsky, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Economics and Management of Innovative Systems, and permanent coordinators of cooperation between KubSU and UPTEN, experts in the field of business intercultural communication Dr. Dressler Brigitte, PhD in Philology, Deputy. Director of the Center for Foreign Languages of HTW, Berlin, and Dr. Galina Govorova, Director of International Affairs Department of Kuban State University.

Following the results of the speeches, an interesting discussion took place. The topic of the conference aroused great interest among HTW students who demonstrated a high level of proficiency in Russian. It should be noted that from the Berlin side, students studying Russian as a mandatory or optional academic discipline took part in the event. Traditionally, the May meetings are held for students of KubSU in a visiting format at the site of the Berlin partner university, and in September KubSU receives a delegation of students from Berlin. Unfortunately, in the context of the pandemic, the conference is being held online for the second year in a row, but this conference, as its organizers and participants noted, did not affect the quality of the event and the special friendly atmosphere that has allowed young people from Russia and Germany to conduct a scientific dialogue and build a joint future for 20 years.
