The master's theses were defended in English at the KubSU under the double-degree program "Economics and Management"

On July 5, 2021, at the Faculty of Economics of Kuban State University, master’s theses were defended within the framework of the international Master's program "Economics and Management" (E&M), taught in English. 7 students successfully defended their dissertations, three of which - on the E&M double-degree program: Pavel Samoylenko – within the framework of cooperation between KubSU and CULS (Czech University of Life Sciences Prague), Andrey Perechnev and Alexey Titov – within the framework of cooperation between KubSU and ISCAP (Faculty of Accounting and Business of the Polytechnic University of Porto, Portugal). It is worth noting that Perenev A. and Titov A. presented their research to the joint Russian-Portuguese Examination Board, herewith, the Board members from ISCAP (6 persons) accepted dissertation defenses in an online format, while the colleagues from KubSU worked offline. Thus, for the first time, the procedure for defending Master's theses was held in a hybrid format that also reflects international trends.

Undergraduate students adequately presented their research on such relevant and diverse topics as:

  • The effectiveness of foreign direct investment in improving the technological modernization of national industry companies (Vitaly Popadyuk);
  • Efficiency of e-commerce B2B business in the Chinese market (Yang Yuqi);
  • Competitiveness of wine companies of the New and Old World in the international wine market (Andrey Perechnev);
  • Development of an effective food security strategy using electronic marketplaces (Pavel Samoylenko);
  • IT-innovations for project management of e-marketing channels in the sales of building materials (Maria Gabelko);
  • Assessment and formation of competitive advantages of telecommunications companies (Alexey Titov);
  • The effectiveness of project management by electronic marketing channels of linguistic schools (Ilona Kadenko).

The speakers confidently defended the scientific theses of their research before the examiners of KubSU – A. A. Polidi, Yu. Yu. Perederiy, E. A. Zhuravleva, A. S. Yevtushenko-and the examiners of ISCAP – Celsa Maria de Carvalho, José de Freitas Santos, Armando Silva, Maria Clara Ribeiro, Alexandra Marina Nunes, Ricardo Silva.

According to the results of the Final State Attestation, 7 graduates obtained Master's degree diplomas from KubSU, including 3 graduates who were awarded the Master's degrees of the Partner Universities, namely: Pavel Samoylenko – from CULS,  Alexey Titov and Andrey Perechnev, whose researches were recognized the best – from ISCAP. The same graduates are recommended for postgraduate studies.

The head of the ISCAP Partner Master's Program, Prof. Clara Maria Ribeiro, on behalf of all the partner participants, expressed the great gratitude to the colleagues of KubSU for organizing the joint defense of Master's theses and stressed the special importance of this event for the development of cooperation under the double-degree program, expressing hope for further meeting in-person format.

This is already the 7th graduation of Masters of the double-degree program Since the beginning of this program, a total of 29 graduates have obtained two national diplomas for two years: Russian and European ones.
